About me

Hi, I’m Omertov – a multidisciplinary artist, juggler, and circus clown. I began my circus journey at 18 and studied at the Spanish National Circus School. Since then, I’ve been traveling the world learning, performing, and teaching. For over two decades, I’ve been exploring juggling, movement, dance, and performance art. Today, I focus on developing a unique form of juggling fans I call Fan-X – a blend of technique, flow, and imagination.

The FanX Technique — A New Language of Movement

Omertov has developed a unique method for juggling and manipulating fans, inspired by the anatomy of a bird. Each fan is treated as a living form, with a beak, eye, neck, wings and tail. Every grip point creates a different effect, and every part opens the door to a new movement. In his workshops around the world, Omertov teaches how to use these reference points to unlock a full vocabulary of flow. One of his guiding images is: “The fan is the bird. We are the wind that carries it.” This approach helps simplify a complex prop. With clear structure and powerful imagery, students quickly learn how to open, close, reverse and spin the fans with precision and confidence. The Vision — A New Path for Juggling

After so many years of exploration, it became clear to me: this is not just another prop. The fan brings together the possibilities of multiple worlds: juggling, object manipulation, body movement and unique throwing patterns with returning motion, like a boomerang. Its ability to change shape and create dynamic, aerial movement opens up a new space for creativity. You can throw it open or closed. You can catch it from any point. You can even pass fans between multiple people, opening the door to partner juggling and group choreography. My vision is to grow a global community around this tool. To share, train and inspire others to explore the full potential of fan juggling. I believe it has the power to become one of the most expansive disciplines in the juggling world. It is dynamic, expressive and unlike anything else: compact, foldable, and yes, when everyone’s sweating, you can make your own breeze. FanX invites people to create, invent and flow.
